The National Human Rights Committee NHRC, in partnership with the International Development Research Center IDRC and the Arab Democracy Foundation ADF organized the Preliminary Civil Society Forum Meeting in Doha, Qatar on January 11^th 2011. The meeting saw the participation of almost 200 members from civil society from the Arab Region aiming at presenting the recommendations of the Preparatory Regional Workshops and reports of the National Workshops. This meeting was followed by the Forum for the Future Ministerial Meeting of G8 and Arab countries held in Doha, Qatar on January 13^th 2011, which saw the presence of Ministers of Foreign Affaires from the two regions and a number of civil society participants.

Al Kawakibi Democracy Transition Center was present in all these meetings through the participation of its board members, experts and Program Director, who was selected for a meeting with Ms. Hilary Clinton, US Secretary of State, to present the Center's programs and activities. KADEM Program Director took the floor to focus on the current situation and events in Tunisia.
