In collaboration with the municipality of Ariana, Kawakibi Democracy Transition Center organized a training session on « institutional communication » on June 19-20, 2020. This training is part of « Justice and Security Dialogue » project, which KADEM has been working on since 2017 in partnership with the United States Institute of Peace (USIP). The training aimed at strenghtening the participants’ skills and at building up their capacities in the filed of communication, these participants are representatives of the municipality and CSOs representatives.
The training session brought together representatives from the municipal council and the administration in addition to CSOs representatives. This meeting helped in the convergence of views among the participants. Besides, a presentation was conducted tackiling the project and the context of the work on police-community program in partnership with the Ministry of Interior, through the pilot experience held in the municipality of Ariana.
Furthermore, the training addressed communicational skills and models, in addition to the need to analyze the interacting parties to avoid challenges and to build a successful communication plan.
